Ancient Alien Shrine Terrain for 28–32mm Tabletops
Some places were built to be remembered.
Elderbloom Waystone Shrine + Alien Plants
A 3D-printable ancient alien shrine designed for sacred groves, forgotten temples, narrative objectives, science-fantasy battlefields, and display boards.
At the heart of the Elderbloom Waystone Shrine stands a towering alien monument surrounded by smaller stones and overgrown planting areas. It may serve as a world-spirit sanctuary, psychic focus, ancestral memorial, dormant alien device, ritual site, or relic whose purpose has been buried beneath centuries of myth.
Whether your forces have come to defend it, awaken it, corrupt it, study it, or steal whatever lies beneath it, the shrine gives your tabletop an immediate focal point and a compelling reason for battle.
Designed for 28–32mm tabletop miniatures, this digital STL terrain works as a standalone battlefield feature, narrative mission objective, display-board centerpiece, or part of a larger ancient alien ruin complex.
Files Included
- Elderbloom Waystone Shrine Base STL
- Central Waystone STL
- Secondary Waystone STL
- Three Alien Plant STL Designs
Optional Scenic Foliage
The included alien plants complement the shrine but are not required to complete the terrain piece.
Build the World Around It
Use the included plant files or finish the planting areas with plastic jungle plants, aquarium foliage, model railroad vegetation, preserved moss, static grass, or generic third-party hobby greenery.
This flexibility allows the same shrine to fit lush maiden worlds, barren alien moons, frozen ruins, corrupted groves, desert temples, or overgrown jungle battlefields.
A Sacred Site for Science-Fantasy Battlefields
The Waystone Shrine is designed to feel like part of the world rather than another piece of scenery dropped onto it. Its curved stone forms, recessed planting areas, and elegant alien architecture create a memorable landmark for ancient worlds, sacred forests, forgotten civilizations, and mysterious archaeological sites.
Use the shrine as the center of a narrative encounter, a contested objective, or a visual landmark that ties the rest of your battlefield together.
Suggested Battlefield Uses
World-Spirit Sanctuary A sacred site where ancient memories, spirits, or psychic energy gather.
Psychic Focus Use the shrine as an energy node, ritual point, activation site, or dangerous source of power.
Ancient Alien Relic A forgotten monument whose original purpose has been lost to time.
Mission Objective A contested relic, defensive position, excavation site, or objective that must be secured.
Sacred Grove Build an overgrown sanctuary, forest shrine, celestial garden, or ancient elven temple.
Display Board Centerpiece Add height, visual structure, and a strong narrative landmark to army displays and miniature photography.
Armies and Settings
The elegant waystone forms, alien vegetation, and ancient architecture make this shrine especially suited to Exodite-inspired forces, space-elf civilizations, Craftworld-style armies, corsairs, Harlequin-inspired warbands, and dark raiders exploring forgotten worlds.
It also works as neutral terrain for robotic dynasties, alien hive invasions, corrupted warbands, human explorers, techno-archaeologists, high-fantasy elves, forest spirits, crystal kingdoms, and anyone ordered to investigate a glowing monument after the first expedition stopped answering its comms.

Change the paint scheme. Change the story. Paint it as pale wraithbone with luminous gemstones, ancient stone swallowed by moss, black alien material pulsing with green energy, corrupted crystal, weathered sandstone, frozen ruins, or a pristine celestial sanctuary.
Compatible Game Systems and Play Styles
Designed for 28–32mm tabletop gaming, the Elderbloom Waystone Shrine fits naturally into full-size wargames, skirmish games, solo campaigns, roleplaying encounters, narrative missions, display boards, and miniature photography.
It is particularly useful in scenarios involving relic recovery, psychic rituals, corrupted sacred sites, excavation zones, defensive positions, activation sequences, and contested objectives.

Optional Alien Plants Included
Three alien plant STL designs are included to complete the Elderbloom aesthetic straight from the printer.
Use them around the shrine, on miniature bases, across display boards, or as scenic details elsewhere on the battlefield. Because the plants are not structural components, they can be replaced or combined with official plastic foliage, aquarium plants, model railroad scenery, preserved moss, or generic third-party vegetation.
Complete the Elderbloom Battlefield
The Waystone Shrine is part of the Elderbloom Terrain Collection, a growing range of ancient alien portals, shrines, objective markers, ruins, and scenic elements designed to share a cohesive visual style across an entire gaming table.
Pair it with the Elderbloom Twin Spire Convergence Gate and Elderbloom Objective Markers, or choose the complete Elderbloom Terrain Set 1 to create a unified sacred complex.
Printing and Scale
These files are designed for use with 28–32mm tabletop miniatures. Final printed size, orientation, support requirements, and print settings may vary by printer, material, slicer, and personal preference.
The models may be resized for other gaming scales, though significant scaling can affect detail, wall thickness, and printing tolerances.
Foliage Options
Three alien plant STL designs are included for scenic detailing. These plants are optional and may be replaced with appropriately sized plastic jungle plants, aquarium plants, railroad scenery, preserved moss, static grass, or generic third-party miniature foliage.
Any third-party products shown or mentioned are not included with this digital download.
