Stencils are cut on demand and usually require 6-8 business weeks of production time before shipping. That production window is separate from carrier transit time. Once your order leaves the workshop, our store automatically sends a shipping confirmation email with tracking.

When will my order ship?

All standard orders take a minimum of 6-8 Business Weeks to produce. Each vinyl stencil is cut on demand when you order it. These are specialty items for a very niche hobby.

Business days do NOT include weekends or holidays! If we have some crazy promotion or a new launch, orders may take a bit longer to process, so be patient my friend! Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email with a tracking number.

What is your refund and return policy?

Any claims for misprinted, damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect items must be submitted within 30 days after the product has been received. Photos may be required before we can review your case. For packages lost in transit, claims must be submitted no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date.

If you received the wrong item, damaged merchandise, incomplete contents, or believe there is a problem with your order, please submit a Customer Order Investigation Request before requesting a return, exchange, or refund.

Can I cancel or change my order after I’ve placed it?

Unfortunately, no. Once an order is placed, you are unable to cancel or modify the order. This is because all products are printed on demand. Once you order they are sent to production. All sales are final. So sorry for any inconvenience!

Can I change the email address to my order?

Yes! Please contact our Customer Care team by emailing support@fallouthobbies.com.

Provide your order number, original email address, and the updated email address so that we may make the changes for you.

Once your email address has been updated, we can resend your order confirmation and/or shipping confirmation emails to the updated address. :)

Can I change the shipping address for my order?

Yes! Please contact our Customer Care team at support@fallouthobbies.com.

Please provide your order number and the updated address ASAP because we are only able to make changes to your order if it has not yet entered the packing process.

 Unfortunately, we can't change your shipping address from a domestic US address to an International address or vice versa because of the shipping cost already paid.

Stencil use, paint bleeding, surfaces, and camo patterns.

Do you offer custom stencil design and cutting?

We no longer offer custom stencil design or cutting services. Our workshop is now fully focused on producing and expanding our own catalog of airbrush stencils, SVG stencil files, decals, bases, terrain, and STL files for the tabletop community.

While we can't take on bespoke stencil commissions, our standard stencil range covers Terrain/Vehicle, Texture/Pattern, Camouflage, Infantry, Organic, Lettering, and more — plus a growing library of SVG stencil files you can cut yourself. If you can't find what your army needs, reach out through our Customer Care Center and we'll help you find the closest match in our lineup.

You designed a stencil for me in the past. Can you cut it again?

We're glad that stencil earned its place on the workbench. While we no longer cut stencils, we may still have your original design on hand. Reach out to us at support@fallouthobbies.com and include your previous order number if you have it — it helps us track down the right file faster. We can't guarantee the design is still in our archives, but if we locate it, we're happy to provide an SVG file you can cut at home with a Cricut or similar machine, or take to someone who cuts stencils.

Please note that once the file is on your own cutting equipment or in another shop's hands, we're unable to troubleshoot or assist with that process in any way. That said, any reliable setup should be able to take a properly formatted SVG and produce a clean cut.

Are Fallout Hobbies stencils reusable?

Yes. Our stencils are made from low-tack vinyl and are reusable with care. Place them back on the backing sheet between uses. Some customers have reused them up to five times.

Can your airbrush stencils be used without an airbrush?

Yes. Use stippling, dry brushing, or a sponge. Do not drag wet paint across the stencil; dab straight up and down with thin, mostly dry layers to help prevent bleeding.

How do I prevent paint bleeding?

Make sure the stencil sits flush, use thin paint, and apply several light coats instead of one heavy coat. Blu-Tack or low-tack masking tape can help hold flexible areas in place.

What are stencils best for?

Camouflage, hazard stripes, icons, panel details, armor markings, vehicles, terrain, aircraft, and weathering effects.

What paints work best?

Thin hobby acrylics, pre-thinned airbrush paints, or acrylics mixed with flow improver. Thick paint straight from the pot is asking for clogs and sadness.

How do I use stencils on curved surfaces?

Work slowly and press the stencil down in small sections. For larger curves, use low-tack masking tape or a tiny amount of Blu-Tack around the edges to keep the vinyl flush while you paint.

How do I build a camo pattern with stencils?

Start with your base color, then add one camo color at a time with thin, controlled layers. Let each layer dry before moving or rotating the stencil for the next color.

Decal application, availability, care, and discontinued designs.

When will this decal or chapter icon be back in stock?

If a particular chapter decal / transfer isn't on our site, it's almost always because of one thing: a certain large, litigious manufacturer that dominates this hobby has a long history of going after small creators and treating the very fans who built this community as a threat rather than the lifeblood it is. Even iconography that company doesn't produce or sell as a decal themselves can land a small shop like ours in their crosshairs.

When that risk shows up, we pull the design rather than gamble with the business and our ability to keep serving you. We'd rather take something down than put the shop at risk for making something hobbyists genuinely want.

So if a chapter you were after is missing, that's why, not us forgetting it exists. We're not happy about it either, but the decal you seek won't be returning to our store.

Why can't I find a decal or transfer I'm looking for, and are you discontinuing them?

We're winding down our waterslide decal and transfer line. We're still selling through what's left, so you can grab what we have while stock lasts, but once it's gone, it's gone, and we won't be restocking. Here's the honest reason why.

There's currently no reliable way to produce quality waterslide decals domestically. Our decals were printed overseas, and current tariff and trade conditions mean a reorder can get hit with thousands of dollars in unexpected fees and stranded at the dock with no warning. We can't run a business, or serve you well, on that kind of gamble.

So if a decal is out of stock, that's why, not us forgetting about you. We hate it more than you do.

Do you offer custom decal design and printing?

We no longer offer custom decal design or printing services. After 20+ years in the hobby, we've focused our workshop on building out our catalog of ready-to-deploy decals, stencils, bases, terrain, and STL files for the tabletop community. While we can't take on bespoke decal commissions, our standard decal range covers Loyalist, Chaotic, Alien, Gothic, Greenskin, and more — and we're always expanding it. If you can't find what your army needs, reach out through our Customer Care Center and we'll point you toward the closest match in our lineup.

But what if I already have my own decal design or artwork? Can't you just print that for me?

We appreciate the enthusiasm, but no — we don't print customer-supplied artwork or designs, even if it's print-ready. Decal printing is no longer a service we offer in any form, custom or otherwise. Our workshop is fully focused on producing and expanding our own catalog of decals, stencils, bases, terrain, and STL files. If you're looking to get personal artwork printed as waterslide decals, you'll want to find a print shop or service that specializes in custom decal production. In the meantime, take a look at our standard decal range — you may find something that fits your scheme.

You designed and printed a custom decal for me in the past. I need more for my army — can you help?

We're glad those decals served your army well. While we no longer design or print custom decals, we may still have your original file on hand. Reach out to us at support@fallouthobbies.com and include your previous order number if you have it — it helps us track down the right artwork faster. We can't guarantee the file is still in our archives, but if we locate it, we're happy to provide a print-ready version you can take to a custom decal printer of your choice.

Please note that once you hand the file off to another printer, we have no knowledge of their equipment, materials, or print setup, and we're unable to troubleshoot or assist with their process in any way. That said, any reliable custom decal printer should be able to take a print-ready file and produce a quality result.

Are these waterslide decals pre-cut?

Yes. Fallout Hobbies waterslide decals are pre-cut so you do not have to trim tightly around every marking.

What surfaces can these decals be applied to?

They work on painted miniatures, vehicles, terrain pieces, scale models, and other hobby projects with a properly prepared surface.

Do I need Micro Set or Micro Sol?

They are not strictly required, but they are highly recommended for the best results, especially on curved, textured, or detailed surfaces.

Do I need to seal the decals?

Yes, a protective clear coat is recommended. Sealing protects the decal and helps blend it into the surrounding paintwork.

Can I weather over the decals?

Yes. Once the decal is fully dry and sealed, you can weather it with washes, pigments, chipping, streaking, and other finishing techniques.

Why did an STL I wanted disappear from your site?

Can I sell prints made from these STL files?

No. These files are for personal use only unless you have purchased and are following the Fallout Hobbies merchant license terms.

Can I resize the files?

Yes, for your own personal hobby projects. Resizing does not change the license terms or grant resale rights.

Are these physical products?

No. STL products are digital downloads for 3D printing. No physical printed parts are shipped unless the product page specifically says otherwise.

What printer should I use?

For high-detail miniatures, bits, weapons, and accessories, resin printers usually produce the cleanest results. FDM printers are excellent for large terrain, storage, and scenery pieces.

SVG (Stencil File) Cutting Questions 7 entries

Digital stencil files, cutting machines, resizing, and file use.

Is this a physical stencil?

No. This product includes SVG digital files only. No physical stencil sheet or vinyl mask will be shipped.

Do I need a cutting machine?

These files are intended for hobbyists using a cutting machine or vector cutting workflow. You will need your own machine, software, and masking material.

Can I resize files?

Yes. SVG files are vector artwork, so they can be scaled for different projects. Very small cuts may require slower settings, sharper blades, and careful weeding.

What are these files best for?

Custom paint masks, camouflage, vehicle markings, hazard graphics, icons, panel details, terrain markings, aircraft markings, and other hobby projects.

What file format is included?

This template is intended for SVG cutting file products. Check the product description for the exact files included in each bundle.

Can I use these with software besides Cricut Design Space?

SVG files work with most vector design and cutting workflows that support SVG import. Always check your software version and machine compatibility before purchase.

Can I sell masks or products made from these files?

No. These files are for personal hobby use unless a separate commercial license has been granted by Fallout Hobbies.

Do you combine orders?

Can my parcel be redirected to a different address?

Once your order ships, we are unable to make any changes to the shipping address. If your package returns to us due to an incorrect address, it will be canceled and refunded. We will notify you if this happens!

My package says delivered, but I didn’t receive it.

If tracking shows your package as delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check common delivery locations such as mailboxes, porches, parcel lockers, apartment offices, household members, and neighbors.

International shipments may experience delays or extended periods without tracking updates while moving between carriers or customs facilities.

How long does international shipping take?

Shipping times vary from country to country:

Shipping does not include order processing time. All products are handcrafted and printed on demand.

Will my package be charged delivery/customs fees?

All international orders are subject to customs and duty fees as defined by the country of import. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide information on whether you may or may not be charged customs/duty fees. Duties will be determined by the country of import of your order based on product value.

These fees are not included in your order and/or shipping total. We assume no responsibility for duties incurred on discounted, promotional, or giveaway items. All fees must be paid by the parcel recipient. By placing an order, you authorize us to import your product on your behalf and agree to Fallout Hobbies delegating the import of your products to a third party.

What is your return policy?

We do not refund orders for buyer's remorse. Many of our products are made on demand, and eligibility for replacement, exchange, or refund is reviewed case by case.

Digital goods: Due to the immediate digital nature of STL files and SVG files, digital downloads cannot be returned once purchased.

Can I return a gift that was purchased for me?

Unfortunately, we have a no return, refund, or exchange policy in place for gifts because all of our products are handcrafted and printed on demand. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

I need my refund redirected to a different account.

So sorry for the issue! Unfortunately, we are only able to issue a refund to the original point of purchase for the order. Please reach out to your bank for more information on how to reroute the funds to the correct account.

What happens if my package is returned after it is shipped?

Wrong Address - If the customer provides an address that the courier considers insufficient, the shipment will be returned to our facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (if and as applicable).

Unclaimed - Shipments that go unclaimed are returned to our facility, and you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment.

You hereby agree that any returned orders due to the wrong shipping address or a failure to claim the shipment won't be available for reshipping and will be donated to charity at your cost (without us issuing a refund).

Do discount codes expire?

While some things last forever, our discount codes do not. All discount codes will come with an expiration date at the time that they are issued so that you can plan your shopping date accordingly!

Please keep in mind that most discount codes cannot be combined with any other offers that may be live on our site at the time that your order is placed.

Why isn't my promo code working?

We recommend copying and pasting your exact code into the coupon box to apply your discount.

Keep in mind that promo codes cannot be combined, nor can they be applied towards shipping. Exclusions include but are not limited to: newly launched collections, products on last call or already discounted, and select kits/sets/collaborations.

They typically cannot be used during sales, promotions, or holidays.

Can I combine coupon codes on my order?

Can I get a refund if the price has changed?

Unfortunately, we are unable to honor any promotions for orders placed outside of the promotional time frame as this would be unfair to the rest of our customers.

Can I return my gift for a different item?

Unfortunately, we have a no return, refund, or exchange policy in place for gifts because all of our products are handcrafted and printed on demand. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

It looks like you charged me twice for my order.

If your credit card was declined when you first tried to place your order, you’ll see a pending transaction in your account. Don’t fret! We do not capture funds for declined transactions, and this charge will automatically drop off your statement within a few business days.

Will I be charged International Bank Fees?

When placing an order, the final total you see during checkout is in USD. Once your bank pulls the funds, they will account for the current exchange rate. Your bank may or may not charge additional fees for international transactions.
